James is a Chartered Surveyor and member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), specialising in residential leasehold valuation across England and Wales.
He has advised on lease extension and freehold purchase valuations under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993, applying RICS guidance and the deferment rate framework established in Sportelli v Cadogan [2007].
